Thursday, Sept 2nd

I woke up at 3 am Thursday morning, and started to get ready. We left the house around 4 am, and got to the airport around 5ish. The flight was 5:40, and the flight was great. I was just relaxing, listening to a Japan mix I made of Dir en Grey, Gackt, Morning Musume, and Miyavi of course!

When, I got to the airport, I met up with Calli and Wiz, and we waited til 10:00 to pick up another girl, Fiona, then we took the tram to the hotel. We spent the first half of the day wandering around looking for people we knew, and generally having lots of fun. We even got our hands on a set of walkie talkies, and tried to see how far we could get between floors with reception. Our room is on the first floor, so Calli was down there, and I went on the 30th. Picture our hotel, there are 47 floors, and below that is the Garden Level, the Lobby Level, another level below that, and then 3 parking levels under it all.

We saw ScapeBabe who runs the Tribe Track. We asked her to invite Matt to have dinner with us when his plane got in. We originally didn't really think he would come.

Waiting in line for our badges was fun and boring at the same time. I met some pretty fun people in line, including Joy who I saw many times throughout the Con later after, and Don, an eternal member who accidentally got in our line, and stayed there for a good while, before finally joining the eternal members line (much shorter than the Ticketmaster line we were in!). He tried to teach me to juggle, but eventually gave up.

So we finally got to the restaurant at 7 (the time we said we would), and we were just hanging out. A half hour later, we see ScapeBabe walk in with this adorable guy. Of course it was Matt! He got a beer, and then came over to us. We he was first approaching, we all were freaking out. I waved to him, and it seemed like he recognized me or something, cause he came right over to me, and gave me a hug, and said how much he loved the site and all this stuff. It was so wonderful.

He talked about how much he loved the American burgers cause we fed him, LoL. Well, Wiz paid, so.... We were having so much fun talking to him. He came over, and sat next to me cause MyShell was sitting next to me, but she moved over one, and Matt came over next to me and said "Is this my seat?" And I was just like "I guess!" Wiz and Fiona brought him a super soaker, that he was just so happy about! As soon as he saw it, he said "What is this for, a wet t-shirt contest?" He said that he would wait for Danny to get HIS super soaker before they got into some real trouble. :evilllllllllaff: We talked about Romeo and Juliet for All Time, and he promised to soon send me pics from the show.

Afterwards, some of the girls asked Matt to play pool, but my camera died, so me and Shell went to my room to charge the digi-cam do we could have it for later cause Matt may be going with us to see the band McFly live! He said that the group's actually pretty big in England. We later found out he was thinking about some British boy band, and not the awesome rock band we saw. More on that later! So I went to my room and got all the gifts I bought for Matt. As we were coming back down, I caught Matt on his way out with some of the Track staff. I called over to him, and he said that we need to talk a bit later to talk about the site, and for him to give me his cds. I gave him my gifts, and he said that I was spoiling him, and he felt like it was his birthday.

We hung out in the room for a while, and eventually Shell, Karly, Stacey, Shell's sister, and Alien came over to hang out before the McFly concert. 10 rolled around, and we got going. The band was totally awesome! We loved the show. I got to go right up to the front, and people were really nice and got out of my way because I was taking pictures. I kept trying to drag other people up next to me, but they kept moving back because my ear was right next to the speakerphone. The lead singer was often singing real close to me, even during one song, he got up in my face just as he was singing "I know you think I'm beautiful!" He wasn't the hottest thing, but he was really cool. After the show, I got one of the drummer's drumsticks. The guy next to me asked for his last one, and he was like "Dude, you're not a chick!".

We were hanging out at the lobby for hours, waiting for the Danny, Tori, and Emily to arrive from New Zealand. Matt came down, and I talked to him for a bit, and then he went and joined the Tribe Track staff at the door. Then Alicia and Jen came over to us and introduced themselves. They were really awesome, and ended up hanging out with us for the rest of the Con. But back, to the rest of the cast… they finally arrived around 12:30am, but we decided not to go over to them cause they seemed exausted. We wandered the hotel for a while, and about an hour later, found ourselves in the Garden Level lounge area, just hanging out. I was bored to tears, but really hyper, so I was yelling quite a bit, acting like a drunk even though I’m probably the only person who didn’t have a drop of alcohol the entire Con. Then Danny and Emily came out of Champions, and we talked to them for a little while. About half an our later, Matt and Tori left there, and by this time I had brought down my stuffed froggie Rupert, which Tori tried to steal! Hehe. Shortly afterwards (some 2:30am), I finally went to bed.
